There is one accessory Carrie Bickmore can’t do without when travelling — but it’s much to the dismay of her family
The Project host shared a snap of herself in a stylish, yet casual matching cream blazer and pants. Under the jacket she wore a blush pink top and showed off part of her much-loved black bumbag.
“It’s a vibe……(and not a good one according to my family),” she said about the small pouch accessory.
Carrie said she bought the bumbag for family adventures while in the UK and has worn it out every day since, describing it as a “game-changer”.
“Free hands, easy access, and not to mention how stylish it makes you,” she joked, adding the hashtags ‘dontknockituntilyoutryit’ and ‘style icon’.
And she’s not the only one who loves the look with fellow celebrities also praising the handy and stylish bumbag.
“Smart. Very smart,” fellow TV journalist Angela Bishop wrote.
“All about it,” presenter Sarah Harris said, while fellow The Project host Lisa Wilkinson also agreed it’s a “vibe”.
“Bumbags ROCK! Seriously ahead of their time. And you look SUPER SMART innit Bickers,” Grant Denyer’s wife, Chezzi added.
It comes as Carrie headed off to Europe in April with her husband Chris and three kids, Oliver, 14, Evie, 7, and Adelaide, 3, sharing snippets of their adventure on her Instagram account.
“Being real touristy. Stonehenge/Cheddar/Wells/Windsor,” she captioned a series of snaps of the family in the UK.
Another was of her three-year-old looking very unimpressed as she posed in front of the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
“She’s not buying the hype. (What happens when you push a toddler too far),” Carrie captioned the hilarious post.
The 41-year-old announced in March she would be taking a break from The Project desk. She made the announcement on air leaving audience members stunned.
“Well I just wanted to share a little personal news from me tonight before we go on that in April I’m going to be taking a few months off The Project desk,” she began.
“Chris and I and the kids are heading off on a family adventure together.
“We’ve been wanting to do it for a while but lots of reasons, timing hasn’t been right, but we figure it’s never going to be the perfect time to go and it’s something we really want to do before my son starts his final years at school so we’re doing term two in the UK.
“So I will be off for a couple of months.”
