Outgoing treasurer Josh Frydenberg says he is “waiting for the postal votes” to be counted over the coming days as he faces potential defeat in the seat of Kooyong.
“And then I’ll have something more to say about obviously the result here in Kooyong,” Mr Frydenberg said.
Independent Monique Ryan told Sky News Australia on Sunday morning she had not yet claimed victory in the Melbourne electorate because she had not received a call from Mr Frydenberg to concede defeat.
