Labor’s Terri Butler has officially conceded that she has lost the inner-city Brisbane electorate of Griffith to her Greens challenger Max Chandler-Mather.
Ms Butler has been a long-time member for Griffith but Labor’s vote was eroded by a resurgent Greens party.
The Greens have a strong chance of winning three lower house seats in Brisbane, as voters in affluent areas prioritise stronger action on climate change.
